Artist's Statement
Born and raised in Stockton, CA, daughter of two public school educators, I was taught the two most important things in life were to do my best and have fun. It was imperative I be the hardest working person and a light in every room.
My artistic identity and vision for my place in the dance world are rooted by the desire to create experiences that are deeply vulnerable and raw. I will be known as an artist who knows myself wholly and is generous with the way I share, allowing the art form to deepen my purpose. I view art as a means to let myself get lost and find myself over and over again. I ultimately live a life that is full of art and create art that is full of life.
Studying a wide range of dance styles, I immersed myself in the competition and convention world at a young age. Now with my BFA from the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, I continue to expand my proficiency, enhancing my choreographic voice, and working with greatly influential artists.
