Shea Hancock was born and raised in Stockton, CA where she grew up studying a wide range of dance styles. In addition to obtaining her BFA in Dance at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance in the Spring of 2025, she received a minor in Mind-Body Studies through which she was able to explore aspects of holistic human development and the connection between the mental and physical components of the art she studies.  

While at USC Kaufman, Shea continued to expand her proficiency in various dance styles and was able to further enhance her choreographic voice.  She has had the opportunity to perform works by Barak Marshall, Hope Boykin, Roderick George, Peter Chu, Micaela Taylor, and Tessandra Chavez.  Shea has also been able to supplement her training through numerous intensives where she has learned works by Crystal Pite, Sharon Eyal, and Johan Inger.

Shea is an artist who values reaching people on a deeper level through everything she creates, blurring the threshold between audience and performer.  In her future dance endeavors she ultimately wishes to live a life that is full of art and create art that is full of life.
